Strategy

  • Formation of Nature Clubs in urban and rural schools and colleges on developing awareness on mission.

  • Involving teachers and students of schools and colleges on documentation, biodiversity surveys, research, education and awareness.

  • Organizing training camps, workshops, seminar, lectures, gosthi, exhibitions etc. on mission topics.

  • Promotion and documentation of traditional conservation practices, rural technologies and dissemination of beneficial technologies in rural areas.

  • Formation of local community based protection groups, informer systems to control illicit trades of biodiversity poaching activities.

  • Promotion of sustainable development of local communities to reduce pressure on biodiversity and environment.

  • Promotion of watershed development concept in the communities.

  • Promotion of skills through training, women empowerment, health and hygiene and biomass, education and tribal development.
  • Co-operation with governmental and non-governmental agencies in the implementation of eco-development schemes.
  • Promotion of education in local communities.
